Safety first

Safety first As a leader in safety performance, Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) have taken our skills and experience globally, working with transport networks to ensure the safe delivery and handling of our product. Experienced AGR representatives recently visited East Java, Indonesia to work with the International Cyanide Management Institute (ICMI) accredited transporter, PT Trans Continent, to conduct safety training, review the transport route for potential hazards and to recommend controls to mitigate any risk with the handling or transport of sodium cyanide. AGR breaks new ground in Guyana

AGR breaks new ground in Guyana Australian Gold Reagents (AGR) has been exporting sodium cyanide internationally since 2002. Sodium cyanide deliveries, particularly into new international markets, require months of planning, including conducting initial transport route surveys to identify hazards and ensure adequate controls are in place to mitigate risk; hosting driver and safety team training, including emergency response exercises; and preparing tailored, comprehensive transport management plans and emergency response guides. As a result of this planning, and AGR’s commitment to safety, the first shipment of products into a new market, Guyana has been successful and led to ongoing supply.
