COVID-19 update for AGR customers

The Western Australian Government announced yesterday that the Perth metropolitan, Peel and Southwest regions will be in a 5-day lockdown from 6pm Sunday 31 January 2021 until 6pm Friday 5 February 2021.

AGR ICMI Transport Recertification Audit and Transport Management Plan Audit As part of our International Cyanide Management Code (ICMI) certification, AGR are committed to improving the safety and standards for cyanide management.  This year AGR has been involved in two major Audits against our WA Supply Chain Operations. Transport Management Plan Audit – February 2019 The Transport Management Plan (TMP) Audit is conducted every two years by an independent external auditor as required by the WA Ministerial which allows AGR to move cyanide throughout WA.  This audit reviewed and verified AGR’s transport management obligations and requirements as directed via the Transport Management Plan Document held by AGR. Third Gold Processing for Non-Metallurgists Workshop a huge success!

Third Gold Processing for Non-Metallurgists Workshop a huge success! AGR recently hosted the third annual ‘Gold Processing for Non-Metallurgists’ workshop  as part of its ongoing sponsorship of the P420 project, coordinated by AMIRA International. Through Curtin University’s Western Australian School of Mines, the project is a collaborative, industry funded initiative focussed on developing gold processing technology. The workshop is designed to give a broad overview of gold processing technology to non-technical employees within the gold industry.   The course is a condensed, one and a half day version of the traditional two day course, aimed at geologists, mining engineers, laboratory staff, accountants and all other non-metallurgists in the gold industry.  Attendees also had the opportunity to tour AGR’s sodium cyanide manufacturing plant […]

West African representative visits AGR

West African representative visits AGR Benjamin Amoo-Mensah, AGR’s resident West African representative, recently visited AGR’s operations in Western Australia as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations. For the past 15 years, Ben has overseen both AGR’s and its customer’s sodium cyanide inland road transport service providers in West Africa. Sodium cyanide transport in West Africa is usually done via convoys and due to the distances and road conditions these trips can sometimes take up to a week, increasing the risk of driver fatigue. During his visit, Ben was invited to visit Qube Logistics to learn how their Fleet Management Centre (FMC) is assisting to achieve zero harm outcomes. AGRs 30th Anniversary Event

AGRs 30th Anniversary Event AGR celebrated 30 years of producing and manufacturing sodium cyanide in Western Australia, by inviting customers, suppliers and past employees to an intimate dinner held at the Perth Mint on Friday 22 February 2019. AGR increases isotainer fleet

AGR increases isotainer fleet AGR has recently increased its isotainer fleet, with sixteen new sodium cyanide solution isotainers. The new acquisition adds to the already extensive fleet of isotainers used by AGR to deliver on the increasing demand for its ready–made sodium cyanide solution product to its Western Australian customer base. The new 22 kilolitre isotainers are expected to arrive at AGR’s cyanide manufacturing operations in Kwinana by March 2019.
